Hi I’m Amy, the manager of @arprojects.events which I run alongside my husband, the founder of @arprojectscic and @ourummah.uk Through @arprojectscic we support people experiencing homelessness, families facing hardship and those in need within our local community in Croydon. From running soup kitchens weekly and a food bank to support families directly, our aim is simply to make a real difference where it’s needed most. @ourummah.uk extends this work internationally, supporting communities in some of the world’s most deprived countries. One of our key projects is in Uganda, where we have built an orphanage to provide vulnerable children with a safe place to live, care, support and a brighter future. Through @arprojects.events I organise women-only events across Croydon and the surrounding areas, creating a safe and welcoming space for women to connect, build relationships, support one another and enjoy meaningful experiences, whilst also making it easy and enjoyable to give back to those in need. We’re always looking for volunteers who want to get involved, support our events and projects and be part of something that creates a positive impact both locally and internationally.
