My name is Ciara, and I have over 10 years’ experience working within residential children’s care, including more than five years in Registered Manager roles. Throughout my management career, I have achieved Good Ofsted outcomes and developed extensive experience supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs, trauma, placement instability and high-risk behaviours.
I am the founder of @claddagh_care a relationship-based, trauma-informed children’s home built around a simple belief: children need more than somewhere to live — they need somewhere that genuinely feels like home. Our approach focuses on strong relationships, consistency, therapeutic support, meaningful experiences and never giving up on children when things become difficult.
Alongside Claddagh Care, I offer children’s residential care consultancy and improvement support to providers who are opening new homes or want to strengthen existing services.
My approach is not simply about helping homes become compliant. It is about helping organisations create safe, nurturing and well-led homes where children can build relationships, experience stability, make progress and feel that the adults around them genuinely care about what happens to them.
