I’m the founder of The Playlist, a London-based events and nightlife brand built around R&B, Hip Hop, Afrobeats and Dancehall. Over the last few years I’ve been building events, curating crowds and creating experiences across London venues, while developing a strong network within nightlife, music, entertainment and hospitality. My background is pretty varied. I studied Psychology, Marketing & Communications, spent time in the US on a Division 1 football scholarship and have continued playing football at semi-professional level in England. Alongside football and building my businesses, I’ve worked within security and operations, particularly within luxury retail environments. That experience has actually developed a lot of skills that transfer into what I do now — managing people, dealing with difficult situations, understanding operations, communicating with different personalities and staying composed when things don’t go to plan. Events and entrepreneurship are where I see my future. Through The Playlist, I’ve gained experience across event promotion, venue relationships, ticketing, marketing, crowd curation, partnerships and the commercial side of putting events together. I’m also involved with other event concepts, which has given me exposure to different audiences and ways of building nightlife brands. My goal now is to grow The Playlist beyond individual events into a recognisable lifestyle and entertainment brand, while continuing to build businesses and opportunities around the network I’ve developed. I’m interested in connecting with venue owners, hospitality groups, brands, sponsors, artists, DJs, creators, event operators, marketers, entrepreneurs and investors — particularly people where there could be genuine value on both sides. Between semi-professional football, security/operations and entrepreneurship, I’ve spent most of my adult life in environments where relationships, discipline and people skills matter. I now want to bring those worlds together and see what can be built from them. Always open to connecting with good people doing interesting things.
