iambarbara.mayne

@iambarbara.mayne Hi everyone, I am an Author, Director, CEO and SENCO of a children’s nursery, a Foster Carer and Advocate with a deep commitment to children, families and the importance of giving people a voice. For many years, I have dedicated my life to supporting children, young people and families through my professional work, while drawing on my own personal experiences of loss, love, adversity and resilience. My journey has taught me that some of the most difficult chapters of our lives can ultimately become a source of strength, purpose and hope. I am the founder of Barbara Mayne Books and the author of 'Suffer The Little Children', my first publication. The book is my deeply personal story that explores loss, motherhood, love, faith, resilience and the journey towards healing. Through my writing, advocacy and work within the community, I hope to encourage others to face the stories they may have kept hidden, recognise their own strength and understand that their past does not have to define their future. My message is simple: Every child deserves to be loved. Every life has purpose. Every story deserves hope. I continue to develop my work through writing, speaking, advocacy and creating spaces where people can share their stories, reflect, heal and find hope. Let’s connect.

I'm children's book author and founder of Syáhni's World: Supporting Young Achievers to Have Natural Inspiration. 🌍 I've taken my books into schools and delivered creative workshops where children are given something simple but important the freedom to use their own imagination. At my first workshop, one child told me he enjoyed being able to use his creative mind. Others said they don't normally do activities like this at home and even the parents got involved and started creating! My vision is for Syáhni's World to become a creative and learning space for young people aged 3–18 and their families somewhere they can explore writing, art, music, AI/digital creativity, carpentry, DIY and practical everyday skills. Because sometimes a child doesn't know what they're good at simply because they've never had the opportunity to try it. I want young people to leave thinking, “I didn't know I could do that” or “THIS could be for me." And parents matter too. Becoming a parent doesn't stop us being individuals we're still learning, growing and discovering ourselves. I'm looking to connect with schools, youth organisations, creatives, tradespeople, mentors, businesses, sponsors and funders who can bring skills, opportunities or support to the next generation. I've started it. I've tested it. Now I'm ready to grow it. 🌍💜 If you see yourself being part of the vision, let's connect. 🤝🏾
