Hey, I’m Mary-Shaniqua I’m a sickle cell awareness and disability rights advocate. I author a column ‘Shaniqua’s Sickle Chronicles’ and have written for numerous medical journals included HemaSphere & British Medical Journal. I deliver talks and panel discussions centred around sickle cell awareness and disability rights more broadly and have done so across several NHS trusts, medical conferences and wider corporate spaces. I also mentor a group of parents who have children with sickle cell disease.
