I’m a Head of Department for Design Technology, Engineering, Food & Nutrition, with almost 20 years’ experience across industry and education. I’m passionate about practical learning, creativity and helping people recognise and develop their natural talents. Outside of education, I’m a passionate cook and Caribbean food entrepreneur, having run an online food delivery business and specialising in Caribbean food. I’m now focused on building my food business and, ultimately, turning a bigger dream into reality, creating a certified, hands-on culinary school for young people, particularly those who may not thrive in a traditional academic environment but have incredible practical ability, creativity and potential. I want to create a space where young people can learn real culinary and business skills, discover their strengths and have positive opportunities, especially during school holidays when many can be left without direction. I’m here to connect with like-minded people, entrepreneurs, educators, food professionals, mentors and anyone who can offer ideas, advice, collaboration or opportunities that could help bring this vision to life.
