Why I built this

He asked thousands of strangers to introduce themselves in one comment section. Thousands of them did.

They wrote out their skills, their businesses, what they’re building, in their own words, to nobody in particular.

I was genuinely inspired going through them. A whole network of people on missions, all reaching for each other, buried in a comment section where nobody can actually connect.

So I made a directory. Their own words, searchable, each card linking back to their Instagram. A better way for them to find each other.

8,124 comments read. 7,489 of them were somebody introducing what they do. The rest were shout-outs and praise.

The directory

Straight to your inbox

New people, new missions, and anything worth passing on. Occasional, not spam.

Hi, I’m Diane. I’m excited to share that I’ve written my first book, Breaking Silence, which is currently being professionally formatted ahead of publication. The book encourages men to find their voice, embrace emotional strength, and break free from the silence that often surrounds mental and emotional wellbeing. Alongside this, I’m a qualified Assessor, Life Coach, and Trainer with a passion for empowering people to reach their full potential. I’m currently developing a 12-week personal development and life skills programme for young people aged 13 and above, designed to prepare them for the future. My vision is to deliver this programme in schools, youth organisations, and community settings, while also running my own workshops that create safe, inspiring spaces for growth and positive change. I’m keen to connect with schools, educators, youth organisations, charities, businesses, and community leaders who share a passion for investing in the next generation.

I’m extremely proud to have co-founded The GK Lab — a project built from a genuine passion for goalkeeper coaching, player development and giving the next generation the opportunity to grow. But for me, The GK Lab is about more than goalkeeper coaching. I want to continue building my network within youth football and connect with clubs, academies, coaches, schools and organisations who share the same passion for developing young people through the game. Whether it’s boys’ or girls’ football, my goal remains the same: ⚽ Create opportunities 🧤 Develop young goalkeepers 📈 Support player pathways 🤝 Build strong relationships between coaches and clubs 🌱 Help grassroots players continue progressing 🏆 Create environments where young players can thrive I’m always interested in conversations around collaboration, coaching opportunities, goalkeeper programmes, player development and youth football projects. Football is bigger than one club, one academy or one programme. If we can work together, share knowledge and open more doors for young players, then we’re helping the game move forward. The GK Lab is only at the beginning of its journey — and I’m excited to see how far we can take it. 🥼🧤⚽ If you work within boys’ or girls’ youth football and believe there could be an opportunity to collaborate, let’s connect.

Hi 👋🏾 We are the King Aaron Foundation, established in memory of our late brother, Aaron. 💛 Each year, we host a football tournament and family fun day to honour his legacy, celebrate community, and bring people together. As we continue to grow, our hope is to expand the foundation’s work by raising awareness of anti-racist practice within healthcare and supporting young people experiencing grief and bereavement through mentoring. Feel free to follow, connect and support our work. ✨
