@refusetoquitt This really speaks to my core values! Ironically, I am actually already connected to the first four people in the comments @kbweddingdance @shevelleserita @soundofjae @thejcharm. We have to do more than tell people to dream bigger. First they have to 'see themselves'. KANVAS help build the spaces, pathways and connections that help people see what is possible when others see them too. Through KANVAS I bring together wellbeing, identity, creativity, education, skills and opportunity, using culturally relevant experiences, mentoring and community collaboration to help young people, women and families grow from the inside out. A huge part of my vision is the power of building my collective. I genuinely believe in the six degrees of separation, that often, someone is only one person, one introduction or one conversation away from unlocking their next step. When we bring the right people, knowledge, skills and opportunities into the same ecosystem, we make those connections easier to access rather than leaving people to navigate everything alone. That is what KANVAS is about for me: being 'seen'! We provide a range of personal and professional services to encourange belonging, connection, self development and becoming. The answer is already within the community, we just need to connect the dots.
