Hey everyone. I’m Shae. Founder, creative consultant, author, speaker and community builder. I’m the founder of @curateyourgenius, home to CYG Academy and @cyggoldconsultancy. At the heart of everything we do is the belief that everyone has a little bit of genius in them. Sometimes they just need the right space, tools and people to help them uncover it. Through CYG Academy, we create programmes and spaces that help people explore identity, purpose, creativity, leadership, repowering them to make change. Some of what we’re building includes: The Circle Network — intentional spaces for Black women leaders and Black girls to connect, grow, lead and thrive. Finding Purpose — equipping young people to create change for themselves and their communities through creativity, civic engagement, community education and visibility. CYG Live! — workshops, conversations and learning experiences designed for all of us. 📖 A True Story — our creative storytelling and experiences platform exploring the stories we tell, the stories we’re told and the stories that shape who we become. A philosophy that runs through much of our work is Story Protection™ — our approach to ensuring that when people share their lived experiences, particularly within research, engagement and systems work, their stories are treated with care, context and integrity rather than extracted as evidence. Through CYG Gold, I work with organisations and systems as a consultant and Learning Partner — currently including LocalMotion Enfield and London Sport — bringing together learning, research, evaluation, engagement, strategy and creative thinking to help people do things differently. We produce films, podcasts and amplify voices. I love collaborating with people doing meaningful, creative, slightly audacious things — founders, creatives, community builders, organisations, collaborators and anyone trying to leave something better than they found it.
