Hey, I’m @misslalaworks — founder of @noirefitfest I created NoireFitFest because I wanted to create spaces where Black people could feel seen, represented and completely at home in fitness. But it was about more than representation. I wanted to use fitness, culture and community as a vehicle to help address the wider inequalities we see around physical activity, nutrition and health within Black communities — creating positive, accessible experiences that encourage people to move more, connect more and take ownership of their wellbeing. Because for me, fitness has never just been about the workout. It’s the music. It’s the culture. It’s the people. It’s the energy. It’s finding a space where you feel like you belong. Over the last few years, I’ve been turning that vision into reality — creating Spinathons, fitness experiences, community activations and brand collaborations, bringing together instructors, creators, businesses and the Black community. I’ve had the opportunity to work with and collaborate with brands and organisations including Gymbox, TENZING, Grenade, Zing, Vitabiotics, Eleat, Palmers, Ch2rge, OTRITION, YFitWear and Access To Pads, alongside some incredible fitness professionals, creatives and community partners. From our sold-out activations to building a growing community around NoireFitFest, every event is designed to do more than fill a room. It’s about creating experiences that make people want to move, connect and come back. And I’m proud that what started as an idea is now becoming a growing fitness, wellness and cultural platform for the Black community. So, if you’re a brand, fitness professional, creator, community organisation or someone passionate about improving health and wellbeing within our communities — I’d love to connect. Let’s network. Let’s collaborate. Let’s create more spaces where our community can move, thrive and belong. 🖤
