Another amazing woman I’d love to highlight is my friend Shan @Shan_shestride. Shan is a passionate advocate for women’s mental health and uses her own experiences to create conversations around issues that are often difficult to talk about, particularly postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. She also represents Mrs Jamaica United Nations, using her influence to champion women’s empowerment and bring greater awareness and compassion to important issues. I’d also love for you to connect with my friend Shanami @lifewithshanami, who recently took a big leap of faith following redundancy after building her career in the tech space. Shanami has such a wealth of skills and experience to offer. She’s incredibly creative and is currently on a journey of self-discovery. Anyone who has seen her host knows she has a natural ability to bring a room together, create an atmosphere and connect people. She’s also passionate about supporting women, creating spaces for connection and using her own experiences to encourage others through difficult seasons and journeys of self-discovery. She’s a faith based woman who brings so much light to her community, including me. Shanami is also an advocate for the sickle cell community, using her own experiences to speak out, highlight the challenges faced by those living with sickle cell and raise awareness of the needs within our healthcare system. My friend Arcadia @carino_noah is another woman I’d love to highlight. She’s so multi-talented and always on the go, and I’ve loved watching her put together her own beauty space, @lumierelounge.uk, where she offers a range of beauty treatments for women, with a particular focus on her love for nail care.
